The meeting point of different people of the same brainwave length.

Musaraf puts on a civilian cloth

If we want to know how to hold on to our jobs, we may learn a lesson or two from President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan.

The man handed over his military command as military president to his successor Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani in a ceremony yesterday due to increasing pressure from the US and the west. Today he got himself a job as a civilian president. Sounds nice!!

I am nobody’s fan but for those who said that the latest move by Musharraf was not democratic, I want to inform them that he was actually elected by Pakistan’s parliament and provincial assemblies on 6th of October 2007 to serve second term as president.

Anyway, which of our western countries care whether something is done democratically or not when dealing with other nations. The answer is largely ‘no’.

Who elected the President and Prime Minister of Iraq?, who elected the President of Afghanistan?, who elected the King of Jordan? Don’t tell me you don’t know.
